Our school is visited a lot. By animals, especially. This bird looked for a way out and caught on the door, then hopped to our block manager's shoulder :D

Stairway to Heaven

Some say, Heaven is up there. One afternoon, on the way to town i caught this view with my cell-phone camera. such a truly Heavenly view, indeed. It may've also been the Heaven maidens flying down to play around in a river ... and they take off their clothings ... and along came Jaka Tingkir taking one of the clothings and fell in love with one of the Heaven maidens ... :P
Doesn't matter where Heaven is. Subhanallah...Masya Allah, everything is as God's will (quoted from Yusuf Islam's song :))

Trash Campaign

We were on our way back from Parapat to Aceh, and we met these people. We didnt know who they are, but i suppose they are on a trash campaign. Maybe asking people to think more about how to take care of the trashes, by their action. We only saw two of the campaign, maybe they have more on their convoy team, but maybe not either. Cool. If only we had a time to kinda 'interview' them a little...heheh...but, we're not journalists :) keep up the good work, guys! :)

Out of Greed? Heheh...

"Kameng pungo" Acehnese might say. Means: crazy goat. But goats actually are amazing climbers! And they also are persistent pursuers, especially when it's about food heheh...well, are they greedy we may also say? Anyways, we can take their persistence as a good model, i suppose :)

Cats (again)

There are lots of cats in our school.
Cats in the canteen, cats joining classes, cats playing around.

Now this is the cat i found in a traditional massage house somewhere in Glumpang Minyeuk, Pidie, NAD. Lovely isnt it? It's sooo relaxed as if it's just had a relaxing massage from the massage master. The massage house actually is taking care of patients who have misplaced tendons or bones. I went there to visit a friend's relative: the owner of the house, and the massage master herself.
That's how we do it traditionally here, the broken bones or tendons, ... and they're cured! :)

Kucing dan Kadal: Cat and Lizard

Seekor kucing dan seekor kadal: pemandangan yang mewarnai sekolah.

Aku sedang berjalan menuju ke ruangan tempat aku biasa duduk berlama-lama di depan komputer, ruangan yang juga sering dikunjungi murid-murid yang ingin mengobrol, atau mengumpulkan tugas, atau memanggil guru.
Di tengah perjalanan, di lantai koridor, terlihat seekor kadal lewat. Dia berjalan cepat, hampir berlari (atau memang kadal selalu bergerak seperti itu yah?). Tiba-tiba dari sebuah pintu, melompatlah seekor kucing berwarna hitam, langsung menangkap kadal itu. Ia menjatuhkan diri, tampak "excited" dengan mainan barunya.
Indah :) menyenangkan. Melihat makhluk yang sedang bermain dan bergembira selalu menyenangkan...
Pada saat kucing itu sedang bermain, lewatlah beberapa murid perempuan kelas 1 SMP. Mereka menjerit kaget ketika melihat kadal berlari. Tapi kemudian, mereka tersenyum dan tertawa melihat kucing itu bermain dengan kadal.
See? kegembiraan itu selalu menular! joy is contagious. i love this view :)

it is a book that i think represents peaceful spirit and humanity. Upon reading this quoted paragraph, my mind flew to Muslims, especially in Indonesia. I really do wish to have a stronger and united muslims in Indonesia, and all over the world. I admire Mortenson's efforts and full-hearted-ness in providing better access to education for Muslim young ladies in Pakistan and Afghanistan. Through this effort he also blows peace and humanity winds to the world's air. Salute!
